Carolina Arteaga is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at the University of Toronto. Her research explores questions related to health, gender, crime and conflict, and has investigated links between the pharmaceutical industry and the opioid epidemic, the effects of parental incarceration on their children’s educational outcomes, and more.

Dr. Arteaga received her PhD in Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles.
