Clémentine Van Effenterre is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at the University of Toronto. Her research explores questions related to gender, labour, and behavioural economics, and has examined bias in hiring interviews, the effects of hostile work environments in labour market choices, gender disparities in negotiation, school violence, and more.
Dr. Van Effenterre is affiliated to the Institute for the Study of Labor (IZA), J-PAL North America, and hosts a podcast on economics and inequality, InequaliTalks. She received her PhD in Economics from the Paris School of Economics.
