Dario Toman is an Assistant Professor at the Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy at the University of Toronto. His research explores questions related to political economy, development, and health, and has examined how partisan local elections affect electoral competition and candidate selection in North Carolina, how specialized domestic violence courts shape judicial protection in Puerto Rico, and electoral cycles in female sterilization in Brazil.

Dr. Toman received his PhD in Economics from the University of Toronto.
