Ismael Mourifié is a Professor of Economics at Washington University in St. Louis. His research explores questions related to econometrics and labour, and has developed and applied methods to analyse women’s choice of university major and underrepresentation in STEM, improved methods for treatment evaluation, and more.

Dr. Mourifié is also a research associate of the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER), and an Associate Editor at the Journal of Econometrics, Journal of Business and Economic Statistics, and Econometric Reviews, and Co-Editor of Annals of Economics and Statistics. He received his PhD in Economics from the University of Montréal.
