Orlando J. Sotomayor is a Professor in the Department of Economics at the University of Puerto Rico-Mayagüez. His research explores questions related to Labour, Development, and Education and has studied forces driving poverty and income inequality, including labour markets, minimum wages, unemployment, and education in developing countries.

Dr. Sotomayor received his PhD in Economics from Cornell University.
