Development Labour Trade

Pamela Medina is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Management at the University of Toronto Scarborough and the Rotman School of Management. Her research explores questions related to trade, development, and labour, and has examined employer market power and self-employment in developing economies, firms’ quality upgrading under import competition, the effects of trade on household production and women’s labour market participation, and more.

Dr. Medina is also an editor of Economía, the journal of the Latin American and Caribbean Economic Association (LACEA). She received her PhD in Economics from Duke University.
