Behavioural Education Labour

Philip Oreopoulos is a Professor in the Department of Economics at the University of Toronto. His research explores questions related to education, labour, and behavioural economics, and has studied factors related to college success, using behaviour insights to increase parental involvement in their child’s academics, the use and role of education technologies, and more.

Dr. Oreopoulos is also co-chair of the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL) Education Program, and affiliated to the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER), and the Institute of Labor Economics (IZA). He received his PhD from the University of California, Berkeley.
