Diego Mendoza Martínez

Research Manager, Forward Society Lab, Puerto Rico

Diego Mendoza Martinez is a Research Manager at the Forward Society Lab, where he oversees randomized evaluations and leads research-practice partnerships in collaboration with Puerto Rico’s Department of Education and the Department of Economic Development and Commerce. His work blends rigorous evaluation methods with data science, developing automated data pipelines and monitoring and evaluation frameworks that strengthen evidence-based government decision-making.

Before joining FOS, Diego conducted field research and evaluation projects across Kenya, Mozambique, India, Mexico, and the U.S. His experience spans behavioral science, labor markets, education, and public-sector innovation through roles at the Busara Center for Behavioral Economics, the University of Chicago´s Development Innovation Lab, Mexico’s Ministry of Economy, and Mexico’s National Council of Science and Technology.

Diego holds an M.S. in Computer Science and Public Policy from the University of Chicago and a B.S. in Economics from Universidad de las Américas Puebla.
