Joaquín Klot
Assistant Director, Forward Society Lab
Joaquín Klot is the Assistant Director of the Forward Society Lab at the University of Toronto, where he leads and executes the Lab’s strategy and helps drive research partnerships, operations, and institutional development. His work centers on building the relationships and systems that allow rigorous research to move from ideas to implementation and inform policy.
Over more than a decade in international development and education, Joaquín has managed research, policy, and implementation initiatives with organizations including the World Bank and BRAC, as well as governments, universities, and technology partners. His experience spans the design and delivery of complex initiatives, including field research in fragile and institutionally challenging settings.
Joaquín holds a Master in Public Administration in International Development from the Harvard Kennedy School, a BSc in Development and Economics from the University of London under the academic direction of the London School of Economics (LSE), and a BA in Economics from the University of Montevideo.
