Kate Baggott is the Communications Officer for the Department of Economics at the University of Toronto and the Forward Society Lab. She is responsible for crafting content strategies, press releases, media briefs, and articles and managing FOS’ social media channels.

Prior to joining the department and FOS, Kate created content and implemented communications strategies in startup and edtech ecosystems. Leveraging her background in journalism and research, Kate has become an established content and communications professional over the past twenty years. Her work has appeared in publications like The Globe and Mail, Today’s Parent, and the Technology Review.

Kate holds a BA from Innis College, University of Toronto, and an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of British Columbia.
