We envision governing institutions that respond promptly, are inclusive, and have the capacity to meet citizens' needs effectively.
State and non-state institutions across the globe commit vast resources to policies and programs that help citizens protect their rights and fulfill their needs. Yet, policies often fail to address citizens’ needs or get caught up in corruption, state capacity constraints, and spending inefficiencies, all of which compromise the delivery of basic services.
Working with government authorities at all levels, as well as non-state actors who support the delivery of basic services or safeguard citizens’ rights, we investigate initiatives that promote effective, inclusive, and responsive governing institutions.
